January/February, 2014 New Giclee Printer & Offerings
This month (January) we are announcing and celebrating the acquisition of a new large-format Giclee Printer. The printer gives us the capability of providing high quality fine art prints of our gallery works on hand- and machine-made acid-free archival fine art papers, and canvas.

The papers come from some of the finest American and European paper mills. Many of these mills in Europe have been producing fine art papers for artists since the middle ages in countries including France, Spain, Germany and Italy, to name a few, and they have earned "museum quality" and/or "archival" ratings for long-life expectancy (hundreds of years). Our offerings will be printed with only true pigment-based inks (we will not use dye-based inks), using the same kinds of pigments used in all archival artists materials. These inks offer long life expectancy with good resistance to fading or color change.

Although the inks and papers themselves are relatively expensive, by producing our own prints, we will be able to offer them at very affordable prices in standard sizes for framing (we do not intend to provide framing services, but these are available in our Fine Art Prints Shop, where the 'print, mat, and frame' package can be purchased at generally a higher price).

In addition, we may also make available lower-cost alternative prints on fine digital photographic paper, as well, for the budget-conscious collector who may prefer the look and feel and lower cost of a photographic paper (matte, pearl, or glossy finishes, etc).

An inexpensive way to hang inexpensive unmounted prints is to have them mounted (with an adhesive) on a substrate such as foam board, heavy mat board or museum board, for example, and simply attach a hanger to the back. However value will always be better preserved by matting and framing properly.

All prints from our own Giclee printer will be
hand-signed by the artist before mailing and will include a certificate of authenticity. Be sure to watch for our initial offers in the next few months and if you would like to receive early notification of the availability of these new prints, please use the "contact" button at the bottom of the page to send us an e-mail with "Subscribe" in the subject line, or use our Guest Book to register with us for future updates on offerings of all kinds. In general, any image posted on this website will be available for sale, and we will provide details soon, as the prints begin to become available. We will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your permission.

Now would be a good time to be thinking about where to place new print acquisitions in your home or office, and we'll always welcome feedback on the kind of material you would like to see. Remember that we have an extremely large collection of photographic images which can be made available, and we will be adding to our fine art offerings on a regular basis.
